On 6th Sept-9th September 2024, His Eminence Khen Rinpoche Geshe Jigme Gyatso, the Abbot of Drepung Gomang Monastery attended the inaugural ceremony of the New Prayer Hall of Ganden Tashi Chokhorling Monastery, Buryatia, Russia. His Eminence Khen Rinpoche met H.E. XXIV Pandito Hambo Lama Damba Ayusheev, Head of the Russian Federation’s Buddhist presented a gift from the monastery on this auspicious occasion, participated in the consecration ceremony and various religious ceremonies at the monastery with abbots and members, and visited many other historic holy places and monasteries in the region, especially H.E. visited the monastery where former late abbot Khensur Ngawang Nyima took his ordinations. His Eminence also gave religious teachings to the public upon request.
